In order to decompress (unzip) the .kmz files for use with Google Earth, you will need software to do this.

Winzip, or 7-zip will both do the job for you if you have either of these programs. If you have neither, then you will have to purchase a copy of Winzip, or better still, simply download 7-Zip from
here
