THINKING OF PAYING A VISIT TO ONE OF OUR MEETINGS?

If you wish to know more about the wonders of the night sky, expert or beginner, you are welcome
to come along to a couple of meetings and see what we are about before you will need to join.
There is a non-member charge of £4.00 (£2.00 for children under 16 years) per visit.

Our regular monthly meetings are held in the Observatory clubroom
General Meeting held on
first Thursday of the month
7.45pm open for 8.00pm start
Social Meeting held on
third Friday of the month
7.45pm open
A formal structured meeting,
including refreshment break
followed by a talk
An informal meeting
with no structure
and refreshments available

HOW ABOUT AN ORGANISED TOUR?

The Society hosts tours of the Observatory for organisations wishing to know more about our activities.
Potential visiting groups should make their initial request by email in the first instance to ,
to include two or three options for dates and times that would suit your group along with the numbers expected to attend.

The request will be considered at the following Committee Meeting (held on third Thursday of each month).
Subject to availability of both the Observatory and staff, you will be advised of the outcome accordingly.

Prior to your group visit, an official from your organisation must attend the Observatory
in order to conduct their own risk assessment, at a mutually agreeable time.

CHARGES
To defray costs, maintain and improve the Observatory facilities,
visiting group fees from 01 January 2019 are as follows:
Adult Group Visits:
Minimum Charge:
£120.00 for up to 30 guests
Schools, Scouts, Cubs, Guides,
Brownies and Childrenʹs Group visits:

Minimum charge: £60.00 for up to 30 children

(You must have the correct number
of responsible adult supervisors
)
Special meetings for Public Events:
(organised through Eventbrite)
are by ticket only - £12.00 per ticket
Non-members attending club meetings:
Adults: £4.00;
Children Under 16 years: £2.00
