BEGINNER? EXPERT? ALL ARE WELCOME AT OUR FRIENDLY REGULAR MEETINGS! IMPORTANT NOTE: All Meetings Suspended Until Further Notice Due to January Covid-19 Lockdown Whether beginner or expert, if you wish to know more about the wonders of the night sky, you are welcometo come along to a couple of meetings and see what we are all about before you will need to join. There is a non-member charge of £4.00 (£2.00 for children under 16 years) per visit. |

General Meeting held on first Thursday of every month. Open 7.45 pm for 8.00 pm start. |
Social Evening held on the third Friday of every month. Open 7.45 pm for 8.00 pm start. |

A formal structured meeting, including a refreshment break followed by a 45-minute talk. |
An informal unstructured meeting with observing (if clear) and chat. Refreshments are available. |

BOOK A CUSTOMISED TOUR FOR YOUR ORGANISATION OR SPECIAL FAMILY OCCASION The Society hosts tours of the Observatory for organisations wishing to know more about our activities. If the sky's clear, there'll be the chance to do some observing through our telescopes. Prepare to be amazed! To get the ball rolling, don't hesitate to drop us a quick email at , with an estimate of attendee numbers along with two or three dates that would your group. Your request will be reviewed at the next Committee meeting (held on the third Thursday of each month). We'll then let you know when we can accommodate you (subject to availability of Observatory and personnel). Prior to your group visit, we recommend an official from your organisation visits the Observatory to help ensure the visit goes safely and smoothly. |
CHARGES To help meet costs, and maintain and improve the Observatory facilities, visiting group fees from 24 Sep 2020 are as follows: |

Adult Group Visits: Minimum Charge: £80.00 for up to 20 guests and £5.00 for each additional guest up to a maximum of 30 guests. |
Schools, Scouts, Cubs, Guides, Brownies and Childrenʹs Group visits: Minimum charge: £60.00 for up to 30 children (You must have an adequate number of responsible adult supervisors.) |

Non-members attending club meetings: Adults: £4.00; Children Under 16 years: £2.00 |
